At Birdhurst Day Nursery we understand the importance of good nutrition for young children.

We serve freshly cooked nutritious meals and snacks daily, prepared by our onsite Chef in our 5* Food Hygiene rated kitchen. The menu is carefully planned on a 4-week cycle. It includes a variety of balanced diet meals including fish, meat, vegetables, pulses, fruit and a selection of desserts and nutritious snacks. Care is given to the salt and sugar content in our meals and snacks.

Children are encouraged to feed themselves independently. We work closely with all parents/ carers to ensure that their child’s needs are catered for, including any dietary requirements and food allergies.
